Per end of May 2019 Variled BV can report that financials on target, a 9% growth in sales and a 10% ebitda. Commercial projects realised include 3 new installations (AMC Amsterdam, Franciscus Rotterdam, Martini Groningen) in Dutch hospitals while a promising pipeline of projects has been established.


On the staffing side, Marc Benninga has joined as CEO. He will focus on commercial expansion, partnerships and process improvement. Per July 1st, an outbound sales rep and an account manager for the Dutch medical market will join the organisation to speed up the business.


The sales plan consists of an indirect and direct distribution strategy. Indirect distribution consists of selling through a Belgian partner for the EU and US market and a UAE partner for the Middle East. Direct sales is realised through HealthTech OEMs Siemens Healthineers, Philips and GE, that all have agreed to include Variled solutions in combination with their devices. Meanwhile Variled will continue to market its patient experience solutions in the Dutch market.


Finally, Variled is developing its offer to the market including Virtual Reality solutions. An exclusive agreement has been made with HorusVR from The Netherlands to incorporate VR solutions to the market.


Variled management believes that the future of patient entertainment is bright and will spread to all areas with patient interaction. Variled has been asked to become the senior consultant for 2 major interior design firms (EGM, CCG) in The Netherlands that are developing ‘the hospital of the future’.
